The BRASSART school offers a program in Game Design and Video Games, aimed at training professionals capable of designing and managing game systems and mechanics. This four-year program is available at several campuses in France, including Aix-en-Provence, Bordeaux, Lille, Lyon, Montpellier, Paris, and Toulouse.

Program and Curriculum

The curriculum is structured around several key areas:

Narrative: history, storytelling, semiology, psychology, sociology, philosophy, anthropology, ideation, communication, marketing, and trend monitoring.

Design: game design, video game analysis, desktop publishing (DTP), testing (QA), narrative design, level design, user experience, eco-design, UI/UX, and 3D.

Development: algorithms, game engines (Unreal and Unity), programming, artificial intelligence, innovation, and R&D.

Management: production management, English, intercultural management, video game economics, game market, project management, network-oriented communication, inclusivity & accessibility, workplace quality of life, team and communication, budget management.

Professionalization: production of game prototypes, workshops (board games, video games, linear games, transmedia), law and intellectual property, participation in festivals, studio visits, game jams, professional experiences, a 2 to 6-month internship in the 4th year, and a final project.
