Welcome to Shiro Games, your independent video game development studio based in the heart of Bordeaux, France. Founded in 2012 by industry veterans Sébastien Vidal and Nicolas Cannasse, our studio quickly established itself as a major player in the global gaming landscape.
Our journey began with "Evoland" in 2013, an innovative game tracing the evolution of video games, followed by its acclaimed sequel, "Evoland 2," in 2015. These successes paved the way for iconic titles such as "Northgard" in 2018, a real-time strategy game inspired by Norse mythology, and "Wartales" in 2023, an open-world RPG where you lead a band of mercenaries in search of riches in a vast and immersive medieval universe.
In 2022, we expanded our horizons with "Dune: Spice Wars," a real-time 4X strategy game set in Frank Herbert's iconic universe, showcasing our ability to explore new genres and deliver rich and varied gaming experiences.
Our team, composed of over 70 passionate talents, is committed to creating high-quality games that captivate and inspire players worldwide. In 2022, we strengthened our market position by welcoming Cathay Capital as a financial partner, valuing Shiro Games at 150 million euros. This collaboration allows us to continue our international expansion and diversify our activities, notably through our publishing label, Shiro Unlimited, launched in 2023. This label aims to support and publish promising titles while preserving the developers' vision and helping smaller teams bring out the best in their projects.
