Game Academy is a higher education institution for video game designers, training Game Developers and 2D/3D Game Artists, located in Avignon, in the Vaucluse region.

INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION

The Rookies is an internationally recognized platform in the field of graphic and video game creation since 2010. The platform brings together artists from around the world, allowing them to exchange and share their work, as well as certifying trusted schools with their label.

Game Academy has been certified by The Rookies since 2022, and several of its students have received various international awards for their work.

Game Academy offers 2 long-term training programs:

❓ ｜How long is the training program?

The Game Dev and Game Art programs last 5 years.

Admission can be in the 1st year or directly into the 2nd year.

❓ ｜How to join Game Academy?

Admission to our school varies depending on the requested program, and it's possible to join the 1st year or directly into the 2nd year:

• Game Developer [year 1]: Quiz on video game culture

• Game Developer [year 2]: Programming test (language of choice) and Mathematics

• Game Artist [year 1]: Quiz on video game culture

• Game Artist [year 2]: Traditional drawing tests

❓ ｜What to do if undecided between the 2 programs?

Whether in Game Development or Game Art, the first year includes a common core for 1 month.

During this month, you will have classes in graphics and programming.

At the end of these common classes, you can make your choice for the rest of your curriculum.

❓ ｜Is there a cafeteria and student housing?

There is no cafeteria but a snack bar where our students can buy food and drinks.

They are not obliged to purchase anything, as we provide microwaves for them to reheat their meals.

Game Academy does not have housing, but we can guide you to various student residences around the school.
