PLAION, a leading player in digital entertainment, develops and publishes innovative video games and independent films, captivating a global audience.

Description

PLAION is a dynamic and diverse digital entertainment group, founded in 1994 by Franz Koch and Dr. Klemens Kundratitz. With nearly three decades of experience, we have established ourselves as a major player in the video game and media industry.

Our structure includes eight development studios, such as Deep Silver Volition, Fishlabs, and Warhorse Studios, which create immersive and innovative gaming experiences. We also operate through fifteen regional publishing offices, strengthening our global presence and our ability to tailor our offerings to local specifics.

Under our three publishing labels – Deep Silver, Prime Matter, and Ravenscourt – we release a variety of games for consoles, PC, and VR platforms, in both physical and digital formats. Among our notable franchises are "Saints Row," "Metro," and "Dead Island," which reflect our commitment to quality and innovation.

In addition to video games, PLAION PICTURES, our dedicated branch, publishes and distributes independent films, enriching our entertainment catalog. Our multi-label strategy and collaborations with international partners such as Activision Blizzard, Capcom, and Sega demonstrate our commitment to delivering diverse and high-quality content.

Since our acquisition by Embracer Group in February 2018, we have continued to expand our influence while remaining true to our mission: providing exceptional entertainment experiences that captivate and inspire audiences worldwide.
