Fire Exit Studio is an independent studio based in Lyon, founded in 2025 with a strong ambition: to create 3D action games that deliver immediate sensations while transporting players into rich and memorable worlds. Our approach is above all rooted in a love of game feel. We pay particular attention to movement, controls, and mechanics so that every interaction is dynamic, satisfying, and naturally makes you want to keep playing.
Our first project, Craving Wisps, fully embodies this philosophy. This 3D action-platformer adventure invites players to explore a mysterious world threatened by malevolent spirits. Mobility and combat are intimately linked: you can notably slide along walls, move fluidly through environments, and possess certain enemies to exploit their abilities. Through these mechanics, we aim to offer an experience where the character itself becomes a constant source of pleasure and experimentation.
But game feel is only one part of our identity. At Fire Exit, we also want to build worlds that make you dream, want to understand their history, and explore every corner. Inspiring environments, epic storytelling, and carefully crafted universes thus accompany our exploration of movement and action. Craving Wisps represents the first expression of this desire to bring gameplay, exploration, and world-building into dialogue.
Our studio today relies on a small team with complementary skills. Mathis Bressaud handles technical direction, Charlie Morel artistic direction, and Léonard Savio world direction. Their experience in programming, game design, and level design fuels a collaborative approach where everyone participates directly in creation and prototyping.
Remaining a human-sized team is an integral part of how we work. We want to preserve an environment that fosters creativity, exchange, and the freedom to experiment, while developing production methods capable of bringing ambitious projects to life. This culture comes with an essential value: creating with respect for people, regardless of their origins, identity, or beliefs.
With Fire Exit Studio, we want to stay small while dreaming big: imagining games generous in sensations, building memorable worlds, and offering adventures that players will find hard to put down once the controller is in their hands.
