Founded in 2021 and based in Tourcoing, Alambik Studio is a French video game development studio that places mutual aid, social bonds, and resilience at the heart of its experiences. Our ambition is to design games in which the mechanics do not solely serve entertainment, but fully contribute to the themes and stories we wish to convey. Through our projects, we thus explore how individuals can organize, cooperate, and move forward together in the face of a changing environment.
This vision is expressed in particular with Diluvian Winds, a management simulation set in a "sail-punk" universe in which the player takes responsibility for an isolated lighthouse facing rising waters. As weather conditions become increasingly difficult, travelers come seeking refuge and protection. They must be welcomed, the community organized, facilities developed, and the group's survival ensured, all while dealing with the events and constraints imposed by this singular environment.
With Diluvian Winds, we wanted to offer a management experience where the community occupies a central place. Each new arrival contributes to the life of the refuge and takes part in its evolution. The lighthouse gradually becomes a true rallying point, around which a society is built, confronted with exile and the need to adapt. This approach allows us to address powerful themes through accessible game systems and an immediately identifiable art direction.
Alambik Studio is also a collective adventure. Our team brings together several complementary profiles around design, development, and artistic creation. This diversity fuels our way of imagining games and allows us to bring gameplay, narrative, and visual identity into dialogue within a single experience.
A member of Game In and integrated into the creative ecosystem of Tourcoing, our studio continues its development with the desire to explore new concepts. After Diluvian Winds, we are notably continuing our journey with Pirates Tactical. Project after project, we want to preserve what constitutes the DNA of Alambik Studio: creating original experiences where game mechanics give meaning to the relationships between characters and where cooperation, adaptation, and resilience become true driving forces of the adventure.
